n recent years industrial construction and refurbishment projects have been a significant area of growth for Martin Evans Construction. We are able to complete these schemes on a traditional contract basis or via a Design and Build procurement route which is often a preferred option for our clients.

Typically projects in this sector range from £100k to £1.5m, and may involve the refurbishment of an existing industrial unit, extension of a production or distribution warehouse or the construction of a new purpose built facility.

BATH EMPIRE,  ATTLEBOROUGH HOUSE, NUNEATON WAREHOUSE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project involved the refurbishment and reconfiguration of a previous clothing manufacturing warehouse in order to upgrade to a storage and distribution warehouse for bathroom and sanitary wares. This warehouse refurbishment was programmed as a phased handover to meet the client’s requirements.
The 1st phase of the warehouse refurbishment (a 6,000 m2 area) took 7 weeks from mobilization to completion to allow the client to save on storage costs. Phase 2 and 3 were delivered after 6 months as programmed and within budget. 



ABBEY MILLS,  ALCESTER, WARWICKSHIRE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The works comprised of roof & wall cladding repairs, roller shutter installation, internal re-spraying works, refurbishment and reconfiguration of the production area and staff office areas, full staff kitchen and toilet fit-out, installation of a new VRF air-conditioning system and major lighting and electrical distribution upgrades to the production areas.

Despite extensive damage and stripping out of materials due to a break-in one week before commencing on site, the project was completed on time and within budget.



UNIT N, KEY INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

210m2 extension to an existing factory unit in Wolverhampton. Martin Evans Construction responsible for the design of the steel frame, cladding and curtain walling.

The project also included extending the external yard area and construction of a retaining wall.

The site was in constant use during the project and the site team successfully work with the client to minimize any impact on the client’s business.


BILTON INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, COVENTRY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Martin Evans Construction Ltd were appointed to carry out the extensive refurbishment and extension of an existing industrial unit in Coventry. The building was stripped back to the structural steel frame and then a new building envelope, floors, offices, toilets and external works were completed to provide 2 new 7000 sq ft units.
